what would cause a horse to suddenly not show well?

so i have this gelding that was taking 1st every show. now last week and this week he's taking last in every class. what would cause that?

He must have gone up a level, would be my guess. But it's hard to know without a link to the horse to look at him.Was Rebecca Iavelli on the old forum

Yes, he's gone up several levels. Look in the show history. See from 1W to 2L? (One World to Two Local). Then he went from Two Local to Two Regional, and he's just went from Two Regional to Two National. Next step is level 2, World.
That's normal. :) No horse makes money in every show. But sooner or later he'll slow down in gaining points, and "settle" in a place. If you're lucky, he'll settle in the top side of his current level and just sit there and make money for a while.
