    I have no idea if theres something hidden in there, I think they're all Appaloosa with Rec Varnish! Which means they won't go white!

    I'm not sure, I'm no genetics expert but I'd be interested to know if you breed two rec. varnish if you'd be guaranteed to get a rec. varnish foal too? It makes sense to me that it would work like that

    With the name in mind, and something Ammit said earlier about the speed of varnish being genetic, I suspect these appaloosas will not varnish or varnish extremely slow

    Yes, it is something you can breed for, but it’s even harder to do than DP or snowflake because not only can’t you see it in a horse is genetic code, it takes multiple years to see rather than being able to see it right away with the trained eye. All of these guys should stay pretty much the colors they are now, rather than fading to mostly or all white like appies with varnish do.

    I'm doomed. I have this account set up for exactly the kind of horses I want, then the Christmas horses come along and ruined it all. I had to make a separate barn for them because every single one has been my least favorite color.

    Yeah, I think I'm gonna split my varnish appies into a separate line, or maybe forgo them completely. It's not that I don't like it, it's just that having to go in and fix the color of their feathers every year is a pain ;)

    @Ammit, he already did before Thanksgiving. I'm currently sporting a new steel plate and screws in my arm. Sleeping on the recliner and snarfing the heavy drugs.
