List of triggers on the Create a Horse page

    Heyy, Im new! And Im trying to figure out things about this game.

    On the Create a Horse page we can create horses using a Herd Helper. When having one active, I always see a list of "Triggers". Right next to the Info and Sharing bit. What are these triggers?

    The list consists of different genetic traits, I think? Like "Heterozygous Cream". It has a white star. There are also traits with a yellow or a golden/brown star and even one with a black star; "Ghost of Christmas Future"

    So my questions are: what is the list of triggers and what do the different coloured stars mean?

    Triggers in this case means Activates-- the genetic traits you see in the list are like ingredients. The different colored stars correlate to the rank/how special the ingredient is. Some of these are other herd helpers, like the Ghost of Christmas Future.

    So horses you make with that herd helper will have those traits.

    Ohh I see! Are those the things that show up when doing Genetic Testing on the control panel of a horse?

    Yes! So if a herd helper triggers "heterozygous black" and "heterozygous bay" when you do Genetic Testing, the results "E/e" and "A/a" will show on the horses page (among others). These are what influence coat color, which is why people like to use herd helpers instead of the random create a horse. It's easier to influence/guarantee what colour you'll end up with the more specific the triggers are.
