I may have missed the post, but I noticed that next to my name is a solid check and a solid star. I think I saw a star outline as well.. what are these for? If this was answered somewhere else.. please direct me to the post. Thank you

The star outline signifies a player with a basic upgrade. The solid star marks premium upgrades. The check mark indicates an account that has spent real-life money on the game for anything, including premium account monthly fees.

I'm not seeing those marks by my name. Where are you seeing them?

They show up in the Breeders Clubs lists, and when you click on the link to Users Online at the right, where all players that are online are listed. They may appear in other places, but those are the two I'm sure of.
