Can't filter search by color name like "unknown"?
-
I'm sorting foals and I'd like to filter the search by foals who have not been gene tested yet. Is there a way to do that?
Thanks in advance! -
I just tried it and it didn't work. I tried a search with "Not Like" checked under the color slot, and nothing entered. Sixteen pages of foals were returned. There was one foal on the first page whose color was unknown, so I know there was at least one foal that had not been color tested. I tried again putting "Unknown" in the color slot and selecting "Like". There were no results.Post edited by SandyCreekAcres at 2021-09-28 10:32:38Thanked by 1Cavalynn

Yes, I got the same result. I guess maybe "color unknown" isn't viewed as a color name string the same way as phenotype results. Thanks for trying it, though. :)

You could just go to the pasture or barn and scroll. That way you can check all of them off and test them all at once :)I’m autistic and I struggle with any kind of communication, so I apologize in advance if I say anything rude or offensive because there’s a 99% chance that I have no clue I did it. I appreciate your patience with me!Thanked by 1Cavalynn

I did it like Nightphoenix recommended it worked for me!Thanked by 1Cavalynn

Ordinarily that would work, except in this case I didn't want to test all of them. I just wanted to see which ones hadn't been tested so I could look at them and decided if I wanted to test hem, without having to wade through the tested ones. I was just wondering if a search filter could expedite that.

Searching by color only returns results of color-tested horses and can't be used in that way. There is no way to search for untested horses. You just have to scan the barn or pasture they are in. You can use control f to make that faster.Post edited by Ammit at 2021-09-29 04:23:04Need to contact me? Read this first.
