Generally speaking, if you want to post an image not already part of the game (like the horse images), you must save them somewhere on an image sharing site and post the link to the game or the forum.

That's why Ammit has given us a long, elaborate link on each horse's page that will allow its image to show up in forum posts. You can't just copy a horse image and paste it into the forum. You have to create a special link that goes to where the image is stored for the game and calls it in to the forum post.

In addition, when I create a tattoo or a horse header for another player, I post it to my image sharing account on Pbase, so that it is always publicly visible. Then the player for whom it was made saves it on the computer, smart phone or tablet that is used to play to play the game so that it can be uploaded into the game records through the Tattoo Manager link found on the member's home page. This makes it available to use on horses in the game.

Only very small images can be saved directly into the game--the small images we can use for ourselves here in the forum, tattoos, and the horse headers. The last two have strict constraints on the size of the image, both for physical dimensions (number of pixels in width and height) and in terms of memory usage (no more than 15 kilobytes).
