Deleting Tack
-
Is there a way to mass delete tack off of a whole barn or a certain group of horses? I'm really wanting to re-do the tack on most of my breeding horses.
I know there's a delete all tack each individual horses page but that takes a while when I'm going through most of my horses
-
Try copying tack of a horse that doesn't have any tack (or only has a background).Post edited by AlloraKerrhy at 2019-10-19 10:45:03

@AlloraKerrhy Oh good idea, I didn't even think of that! I'll try it out
-
I tried that, but the horse without tack didn't show up on the list of horses to have tack copied from.
-
Yeah, It didn't work for me either
-
If you do a horse with something minimal, like hoof polish, and then use it as your one to copy tack from, that should work. I don't actually add tack itself, but do this for mane and tail frequently.
-
@emilyh18 I tried that with front shoes and it didn't work for me, when I go and refresh the horses page it still has all the other tack on it. Maybe there isn't a way to remove tack in bulk, oh well I'll just have to go to each horses page :))
-
I noticed last night that when I updated the tack like I described above, the new image was correct, but when I went back to the view in search page, all of the ones I had updated looked the same. Tried refreshing the page and that didn't work. Not sure why, but this morning all of the updates are showing up however. Are you getting them still with tack on after hitting the "refresh image" button that appears after you've made a change? Or is the tack still on in the search function like I was seeing?
-
I swear I saw somewhere that the copy feature only works on horses of the same body type. But I can't for the life of me remember who or where.
-
I am pretty sure they have to have the same body type for some of the features. If I accidentally copy over from a light horse to a warmblood some things will copy over and some will not. I try to remember which horses are which before I copy the tack.
-
Are some tack items only for certain body types at a certain age? (not talking about the foal stuff)
-
All of the horses that I have are Riding Horses so there shouldn't be a problem with that right? And I'm not changing from an adult horse from a foal or vise versa.
@emilyh18 I do go refresh the horses page but all the tack still shows up on the horses page -
Mass deleting tack is not an option like mass adding tack is.. it would be nice to be able to have more mass options when naming and adding tack but that's not the case
-
I didn't realize mass adding tack was an option. And tack on the horses bodies does not go on a horse of a different body type, but backgrounds always do. Although hoof polish and mane and tails do, but sometimes they don't. I constantly run into this because I don't pay attention like I should, lol.
Also adding tack to a horse with tack already on only adds more tack to them, sadly. -
@Wolvevenfrost Maybe that's what my problem was, it doesn't remove tack, just adds to ti. Thanks! Makes sense
-
Copying tack will never remove tack, it is specifically designed not to do that.Need to contact me? Read this first.
