Brown vs Bay?

Before I stopped playing for a while, I bred for browns, and it was when we had the At gene, so brown was guaranteed with that gene.
I'm trying to figure out what makes a horse brown and not bay since the At gene was removed. I don't breed bays.
I would love any clarification on this. -

Golden Tokens have been renamed Diamond Tokens to prevent mixing them up with GMTs. Double boosted over cap horses are now designated as ****Star or ****Gold, again to prevent further member confusion issues I have been seeing.
