Liver vs Black chestnut

My colt here is StySty and either hetero or homo DP. His sire is StySty and het DP, and is a much redder color. Could my colt be homo DP, and the flaxen is making him a dark brownish color instead of the black? Gene Guide Update!
The sunshine gene, previously known only from one line of Standardbreds has been discovered in a TWH. The gene guide has been updated with this new information. Sunshine may be much wider spread than originally thought.1/27/2026 3:58 AM EST
