Special Gene Sales

This page allows you to order a gene for any applicable horse in the game owed by any player. The owner of the horse will receive the gene license for any closed genes. You may modify the genetics of any horse that is unbred, gene tested, foundation and not a clone. To make the horse homozygous for a gene, add strand one to the cart, then return to this page to add strand two.

It is your responsibility to double check that you have selected the right horse, owned by the right player.

Merle

Gene Example and Info: The merle gene is an alternate allele of silver gene borrowed from dogs. It creates a dilute base layer with undiluted or extra diluted blotches. The higher the SINE number, written Mrl(#), the more aggressive the merle pattern is. Very high numbers cause health issues and can even be lethal. Requires black pigment to show except at very high numbers. This gene is closed. You will receive a breeder's license for this gene when you make this purchase. You will not be able to share this gene to unlicensed players.

Mushroom

Gene Example and Info: This real-life gene is a dilution found in shetland ponies. It causes a reduction in only red pigment while leaving black pigment intact. Requires two copies to show. This gene is closed. You will receive a breeder's license for this gene when you make this purchase. You will not be able to share this gene to unlicensed players.

Recessive Cream

Gene Example and Info: When homozygous recessive cream turns chestnut horses into pseudo palominos and bays into pseudo buckskins. It also causes amber eyes. Reacts with other cream locus mutations to create pseudo double dilutes. This gene has no sharing restrictions.

Dense Pheomelanin

Gene Example and Info: Causes extra production of red pigment. Can produce liver chestnut when combined with sooty. This gene has no sharing restrictions.

Phantom Bouquet

Gene Example and Info: Phantom Bouquet will produce delicate floral patterns on any KIT, Splash, or Frame markings. It is hidden by appaloosa markings. It requires only one copy to show. You will not be able to share this gene to unlicensed players.

Gene Example and Info: Causes an iridescent mother of pearl appearance. Only requires one copy to show. Caution: This is an allele of the rainbow riot gene and will overwrite other rainbow riot alleles like paintbrush or plaid. Safe with Rainbow Riot 2 alleles. This gene is closed. You will receive a breeder's license for this gene when you make this purchase. You will not be able to share this gene to unlicensed players.
