For Your Consideration at Cutthroat Basin...

  • image

Established in 2010, Cutthroat Basin can be found in a valley of the same name in western Montana. This area was named for the vibrantly colored Cutthroat Trout that frequent nearby rivers, and it is those showy hues that we strive to emulate.

Our stock is varied but our goal is singular:
    To produce correct Warmbloods that
    capture the eye and imagination.

For the September, 2015 breeding season we offer over two dozen stallions at reasonable prices. Below is a sampling of what we have to offer. To view our entire list of standing stallions, please visit this page.

In the interest of fun (mine and yours!) I recommend available testing, but ultimately these horses are up for public breeding and the public should decide what to do with their offspring. No one will be blacklisted. Just have a good time and show me the pretty babies you get! Let me know if you have any questions. Straws also available.

Besides his outrageous coloring, "Fluz" is known for being one of only 5
direct descendants of the influential foundation stallion San Juan.

Mr. Millions' great-grandson "Lyle" is a fully-lined is minimalism at its best. Quite a different beast than his famous forebear, he is buckskin with only a smattering of White 3.

"Waldo" is one of our new Dense Pheomelanin foundation stallions. His liver chestnut coat with bold white marking is a show-stopper.
