How Many Generations

I'm getting some lines that are getting up into generation 6+ and I'm curious about everyone's different ways of handling higher generation lines. Are you retiring the line when they reach the cap or a certain point? Are you continuing to breed further generations indefinitely? If you do continue, how are you choosing breeding stock once you can't get Superior foals anymore? I haven't decided what to do with mine so I would love to hear different approaches!Starstruck2 on Bluegrass and Forest

9th gen has been very difficult to get to and they are mostly AGA. This is likely where I'll stop. They can keep producing great show ponies and I won't spend money buying boosts. I can use the hbs on gmts for new foundations for new eras.#243786

I ve gotten a few 9g mares testing SUP to Dam, no stud colts tho. Am thinking 10 is going to be cap but I might keep trying since my bootstrap gift stud was 24generations.
