Associated Accounts...HMO
-
So, I tried to bid on another player's horses in auction (@ Blacklightning0581) and I got an error message: "you must have premium upgrade to bid on horses from your associated accounts"
But....I only have this account, I never made any others. Ive seen this before where youre on the same internet/something and it errors you out. Any insight?

sometimes net provdiers " cheat " and use the same IP address in different places ; go to member page and check your accounts ; you ll see who it is

Thats it, thank you! That was the technical term escaping me =))
Just a bummer cauae she had lots of mares that would have fit my herd perfectly -
if you promise on all future foals the 2 of you are not the same person and that person also posts in here doing the same thing I am sure a third party can help you out ; the third party buys them from her and then re sells them to you ( and it has been OK'ed to do it this way )

Well, overlapping IP addresses is not really cheating, annismyrph.
Each Internet Provider is assigned a certain number of IP addresses. When someone logs on to the internet, the computer or other device is given one of the ones that is not in use at that time. When that person logs off, the number is made available for another user. Unless someone, maybe a business, pays extra for a fixed IP number that does not change, any customers of that Internet Service Provider may use the same IP address for a time, but not the same time. -
ah ; well hubby is an IT guru so we have a static address and always something on line so I guess its different for us?
