I think it's 25 pixels by 25 pixels, you can find the requirements on the tattoo registry on your member home page. Color and type just depends on what you like! You can do whatever you'd like (as long as it's game appropriate of course) and any color you think goes. I used to have one black and one white tattoo for my studs, the dark ones show up on light horses and vice versa but have since changed it to a bright blue that it visible on any color almost
