    I already sold the foal back to the game, so now do I just wait until the “foals this season” counter returns to zero before I can GMT the sire? This is his first season as a breeding stud.

    By my understanding, as long as the foal no longer appears on the family page, you should be good to go. I don't remember having to wait a whole season when I made this mistake :)
