Yes Nikkel666 is right, any regular create CAN be a snowflake carrier. However it is rare! Especially since the best way to know it is to breed them to a homo snowflake and homo appy stud (and even if the horse is a carrier then there is only a 50/50 chance she will pass her snowflake).

So once in a while (like this breedingseason) I testbreed a lot of the mares I create to see if they are snowflake carriers or not.
I think I test bred between 150-200 creates this season: I only managed to find 3 snowflake carriers:

Important thing if you want to testbreed is to breed them to homo snowflake AND homo appy (Lp) studs, as snowflake only shows if there is at least 1 appy (Lp) gene present. So by breeding to such studs you increase the odds of finding that homo snowflake.


So seeing if a horse has snowflake is only possible if they are homo snowflake, hetero snowflake never shows, you only know that by breeding them to a homo snowflake stud.
