Painting a ceramic horse
  • I need color ideas for my ceramic horse! Send me the links to your favorite babies and I'll pick one to paint on my horse. He's for my Native American nativity, he has a blanket draped over his back and feathers in his mane behind his ear.

Not sure if this image will upload, it’s a picture of my first horse. Everyone called him the crazy indian, he looks cute in the picture but he threw me off more than any other horse lol. Loved that guy. I’d be honored if you decided to base your ceramic on him, I can post more of his actual markings if you’d like.

  • @buttrflyfreefall thank you, he was a great horse until he decided he didn’t want to be good that day :)) Over 5 years he bit me, threw me off, and my worst wreck when he finally threw me into a tractor. He loved people for the most part and even saved my friend from getting kicked by a boarder horse in the pasture by getting between them. Since he’s been sold some barrel races blew him up, nobody would ride him but he was perfect if you knew how to handle his excitement.
  • MW Stables he looks very similar to my first horse Bandit.

Although he was opposite in that I could do anything with him with only a halter. I still miss him. He was sold after my dad split with his girlfriend and moved to town. The new owners sold him again because they couldn’t get him to do anything.

A few years ago I was visiting with my dads ex and we happened to drive by a horse that looked familiar so stopped in and found out it was him. That family loved him and their son could also do whatever he wanted with him and only needed a halter

  • @Bandit1119 Happy to hear he’s in a loving home, my family still has my first horse’s buddy horse. Bought him for cheap and he’s the safest horse I know. Never bucked since we’ve had him, been a dream lesson horse for lots of kids, and still looking great at 19.
  • Thats awesome. When it came time to look for my own horse I definitely had him in mind when I went shopping. My Riley was pretty accident prone growing up but he’s never been one to act up. I’ve told my mom many times if anything happens to me sell him to help pay the bills but she’s like nope he’s earned his place and worth his weight in gold for putting up with all the people we throw on him.

  • I am particularly fond of this girl. Something about her brindle that I love. If I could upload a picture of my real horse I would she's going grey and has an ombre tail lol.
