You're right, the game can be pretty confusing when you're just starting out. That's because it mirrors real life, in most of its aspects, and real life can be confusing, too.

You can get some help starting out by checking the Vital Links at the bottom of the left menu. You'll find the link to the FAQ, which gives a basic overview of the game, one for Breeding Info, which will help you understand how breeding is done in this game.

If you open up your pasture, you'll find a link there to information on how pastures work.

Then, just ask any specific questions you may still have. And most of us have had them when starting out. We're a friendly group and like to give new players a helping hand.

I sat and watched my daughter play for 8 months before I decided that I just had to play the game for myself. *G* Have patience with yourself and with us, and you'll soon be happily creating pixel ponies to play with.
